Quilt square comes from my Grandpa and Grammy Brunner. They sent two squares with their wish. Grandpa's square is a blue stripe and I think Dad had a shirt made of this fabric. I will have to look through photos to find it. Grammy's is a red fabric with black flowers, also an old shirt of hers I believe. Their wish says, "Dear Ying Ying "Gracie", Our wish to you... May your life be full of love, laughter, peace, and great friends. May you find your great love, and be blessed with children, and many years together. We love you." Thank you so much Dad and Aud, we miss you and love you and can't wait to introduce you to Gracie Mae Ying!

Quilt square #83 comes from Troy's brother's family! Their wish states, "To our newest addition, Gracie... We look forward to your arrival and can't wait to show you all of the wonderful things in Florida! We want to show you the ocean, the sand, and the surf! To build a sand castle, to catch a sand flea! Quilt square #78 is from my Uncle Tom and his family. Their wish is, "May all your happy dreams come true." The fabric is a colorful flannel. It is from a size4 flannel shirt that my Uncle Tom wore when he was a little boy. My Grandmother passed the shirt onto Tom and Pam when their little boy Josh was little and he wore it, now it will be part of Gracie Mae's quilt! Thank you so much Tom and Pam and kids!! We love you and miss you very much!

Quilt square #76 and #77 are from my Grandfather, Gracie Mae's Great Grandfather. His wish says, "Welcome to the family." The fabric is from a tie of his and the other is from one of his pillow cases. I miss you and love you very much Grandpa! Thanks for the wish and quilt squares! Quilt square #69 and #70 are from our niece and nephew. Jadeybug's wish is, "Gracie, I am so excited you will be a part of our family. It will be great to have another little "jadeybug" in the family! Hope these ladybugs bring you as much good luck as they have to me!" The fabric is a cute yellow with pink flowers and ladybugs on it. Too cute! Cole's wish is titled, "Smith Family Zoo, Which animal are you? I can't wait to meet you! Can you teach me Chinese? Quilt square #46 is from Crofton, Maryland. It is the Great State of Texas. We are not Native Texans, but before we moved here we had friends tell us that once we had lived in Texas we would fall in love with Texas and wish that we had always lived there. I have to say we love Texas and will most likely retire here in Texas when Troy retires from the Army. Anyway back to the wish which has a Chine Proverb on it.
If there is light in the soul, there will be beauty in the person.

Quilt square #26 comes from Stateline, Nevada. The wish is on a beautiful picture Lake Tahoe (if the sender took this picture, it is gorgeous!) and it states, "May you always know the beauty of the mountains, lakes and streams. Have wagons of wishes filled with dreams and see life through the eyes of a child." The fabric matches the picture and is a beautiful blue.
Quilt square #27 is from O'Fallon, IL. It is a cute pink fabric with colorful animals on it. The wish states, "May your life always be in a bright spot in everyone's heart that you touch."
Quilt square #28 is from Smithfield, Utah. It is a cute blue fabric with ladybugs and daisies on it. The wish states, " We wish that this child may be welcomed by many, loved by many, and known by a myriad of private and gentle names."

Quilt square #20 comes from Somerset, Kentucky. It is a blue fabric with children of the world on it. The wish states, " My prayer for you is hope, peace, and happiness through Him who gave you life!"
Quilt square #21 arrived in the mail to our house on September 11, 2006. It is very symbolic because on that day we had three ladybug sightings (a sign of good luck in the Chinese adoption community). First was a ladybug on the boys books that I was putting away, the second was a big huge ladybug sticker on a red Volkswagen beetle and then the ladybugs on this quilt square. Later that day we found out that we had been matched with Fu Bao Ying. The wish states that, "We witness a miracle everytime a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time and miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands." -Kristi Larson
Fu Bao Ying was carried by destiny that day and matched with her forever family.

Quilt square #15 comes from Boucherville, Quebec. Canada. It is a cute fabic with little frogs. The wish states, "I'm sending luck and wishes all wrapped up in a hug. Good things should come your way with this tiny ladybug. A rabbit foot or horseshoes are said to bring good luck. But ladybugs are special they also bring you love. This ladybug of friendship I've sent to you today comes with hope, joy and happiness to last throughout your day."
